I am sorry that you do not comprehend the difference between entertaining a set of assumptions in order to develop a scenario and make contingency plans, and making an assessment of the fundamental science.........

The Wood's Hole oceanographic institute has published similar reports recently.

What I noticed however was that this was accompanied by a request for funding based on their being "uniquely qualified" to do further research in the area. That's also why some of these reports come out.

I still think people should look at long term data which is available, particularly ice cores and so on, that clearly show the repeated cycles of global ice ages and much shorter term warming (which is the phase the human race has been), and the volatility in climate at the ends of the warming cycles, which is right where we find ourselves now.
