I have no problem with a First Strike foreign policy. Infact in my personal life if i sense that another person is becoming a danger or threat to something i value, then i will forcibly and directly confront that person and bring out all intents into the open so everything at issue is understood on all sides, which also includes if i feel its in my best interest, to undo any activity on my side to lessen the conflict, and if that is not possible, then i will create new actions to nullify and remove anything that i have no external control over except in its removal It continues to amaze me that over 90% of the blame will rest on my activity in the past, and for this i try and make changes or admends. Sometimes when its my fault there will be nothing possible for me to correct a situation that i had a hand in the development that caused another grief, and to this its a lose-lose situation where to defend myself against bad actions taken toward me from my incorrect actions, i will add insult to injury and add more grief to another than i acknowledge upfront i was in error doing, but if they decide that my sorry and actions to correct are not enough, then to me its a new ball game and i will go into survival mode. The United States has had a foreign policy towards other nations and people, that were not a threat, being evil. The damage has been done over the past 50(fifty) years, and rather than back off and undo as much as possible, just the opposites are now in actions, and at this point it matters not if the next prez is bush or a Daial Lama in nature, the United States is now a target for terrorist big time, permanently. While the strong arm approach of the prez bush administration has keep away and prevented more terror attacks, these people that want their own survival based on the destruction of the USA have done the following based on certain think tanks: back off and don't strike now and get beaten down and stepped on like a bug, but accept that it will happen when we do strike, so wait and plan and organize over years, not days or weeks or months, and then hit the USA very hard knowing they will counter hard. or Its easy to do lots of Israel type terror attacks here in the USA, and they will become a part of American life, but after another 9/11 times ten. As for a plane into a building, no not this as it is too small and limited and only generated the o49r type hype using the T.V. news stations to gather viewers to watch commercials and generate more more selling ads. Nope, next will be something that will not need T.V. to blow it up like an action movie, but chemical & biological contaimination of big cities that will linger for years and disrupt the lives of millions. The 9/11 was a cheap limited sideshow blowned up by Madison Avenue to sell ad space on TV. The next one will be the real deal of hurt & terror. After that, many more similiar but sized down. Makes no matter who is next prez. Survival is a coin of one side with many layers. Under health & happyness is self worth. Self worth requires a person to acknowledge a purpose to live. Not purpose "for" life, but "to" their own life. Feeling hurt & damaged creates a powerful purpose to strike back. At that point Life & Death are equals. Doug
