I was addressing myself to what the Pentagon Report said explicitly, and don't believe I said anything about contradictions with the administration's positions at all. I don't think I even brought up Kyoto, I think you or maybe someone else did.

Insofar as the Report itself may contradict "the administration's agnosticism and call for further research," (though it calls for further research) my pasting and quoting it may have given you that impression.

Not quite. They commissioned a report to determine "plausible" eventualities and their possible urgency, and did a "worse case scenario" on the plausible, choosing a mid-level crisis on which to expand.
