well i was referring to a constitutional amendment.. i believe that is where this insistence of state recognition of (you fill in the blank) marriage is leading if the equal protection clause applies to male/female marriage, then female/female marriage, male/male marriage... there really is no end to how one can define "marriage" as long as the parties are human.... to be sure, one can only speculate that the inter-species marriage community can't be far behind <vbg>
