Because the analysts believe that we are seeing the peak Q either now or next Q; that it will be all downhill until the next cycle.

Whether or not they're right, wrong, early is irrelevant.

Brian, if you look at the ww chip sales you could conclude it's going to peak this year. Then equipment bookings would, too.

Worldwide chip sales are pretty far along, but that has not yet resulted in large equipment bookings [as of Jan04]

Keep in mind that chip sales are ww, SEMI bookings are just for SEMI member companies.
