Oh wow, you've shown me now. Dang what can I say. Now that you've posted something that some person I don't know said someone else said about stuff they'd heard from people they didn't know, I think it's just too clear for words.

It's kind of like listening to posters on this thread relate the history of what other posters said other posters said.

Have you found that you feel better when you can believe any silly thing that fits your agenda.

Don't be a damn fool.

More than 1 million people (including 58,000+ US soldiers) died in the official Vietnam War (1965-1975) which LBJ started and Nixon ended.

More than 2 million people died after we left Vietnam in 1975.

The dominoes really didn't stop falling until Reagan kicked Carter out of office in 1980, forced Iran and Iraq to neutralize each other in a debilitating war of attrition and boldly diverged from the containment orthodoxy by aggressively confronting the former Soviet Union everywhere starting with Afghanistan, which the former Soviet Union invaded in 1980 right before the very eyes of a hapless Jimmy Carter.

More Muslims have died due to sanctions in Iraq than the two Gulf Wars combined. As if to demonstrate what happens to those who forget history, most Democrats opposed the first Gulf War and generally tried to have it both ways with the second Gulf War.

Notice the patterns?
