Important to remember that the neo-con "godfather' Leo Strauss argued that there is nothing wrong with telling lies to achieve "noble" ends. As we have seen with regard to Iraq.

But insitutionalized lying by the powers that be has spread way beyond Iraq. Leo Strauss would be proud of Alan Greenspan and his Fed toadies. They are among biggest liars and frauds to ever enter the public stage IMHO.
