Those were the good old days, weren't they?

"Are there no workhouses? Are there no prisons?"

-- E. Scrooge

Debtor's prison RULES!

Yes, that'll be a big win all around. More prison building, more prison guards, more employment. The more the gov't puts the boot on the neck of the populace, the more police and gov't is needed. More polarization, and for some mysterious reason, more "votes" for the polarizer, especially when electronic voting machines are used.

Ideally, we'll have a nation of prisons and concentration camps with slave labor keeping our streets clean and executing malcontents on behalf of Washington managers.

Dickens and Orwell would find the 21st Century very familiar.
