Those jobs were lost to the recession which killed capital spending - got that - capial spending. Capital spending because demand decreased because of the recession. Now things are rapidly starting to get better - too bad for you eh?

I know all about capex spending bearcat. And let me clue you in to something, capex spending is RELATED to employment. Maybe you didn't see it but we saw it here, in California. When HP sent all their design centers offshore, starting in 01, all the capex equipment like Cisco routers and msft software and all the rest went too. There is capex expenditures to staff up the offshore locations but the pricing power is non-existant.

I watched dummies like Larry Kudlow forsee a rise in capex starting in early 03. Oh yes, Kudlow predicted 300K jobs/month just as soon as the "capex spending cycle kicked in".... hellooooooo.... anybody home? Capex is something you spend to make your workforce more productive. Now that the workers are gone, no pick up period. Listen to a few conference calls for a change and find ONE who says capex is clearly recovering. Nobody is doing that. A few companies like IBM are hoping something will come in a few mos... well big deal we had 8% GDP in the fall and nothing.

Conclusion: this hollowed out economy sucks, and the nasdaq has declined for 6 weeks in a row.

And how do they get away with that - a willing media and a poorly educated society - the dem's greatest assets.

You got it, the sheep and the shepherds. Disgusting...
