Hey - by '18 XOM will long since have been munched by a diversifying MSFT. <g> Hard to know if the majors aren't going to be like the pharma - running as fast as they can to avoid going backwards. Both are dealing with valuable but declining assets (limited by known oil reserves and patent life respectively). The biotechs presumably get matched with the independent producers, and the biotech tool companies with the oil service industry. Imports from Canada, anyone? <g> Peter
