Insulting someone's kids is a pretty silly way to make a point. The "holier than thou" attitudes you imagine probably say more about your self esteem or level of guilt you feel towards your self. If you are comfortable with who you are, nobody's "holier than thou" attitude can bother you.

They are just offering their views, which are offensive to you, so you lash out. Makes you look petty and silly. If their argument doesn't hold up, then show them why their thinking is incorrect. To call somebody's kids names just makes you look foolish and petty.
