We don't need a constitutional amendment that takes away rights, nor a president that chooses a wedge issue for the purposes of politics.

What we need is good bi-partisan legislation that solves the inequities that gay and lesbian couples suffer.

If that relief can come in the form of a civil union bill, then why not get after the problem that way? If Bush is for Civil unions then why doesn't he urge legislation that solves that need?

Politics as usual.
