Drawing the line is difficult, and ongoing.

I'd like to see the age of consent, even with parental permission, set at 18 for all states.

However, the age of consent has historically been lower than today. In previous generations, it was not uncommon to see kids marrying at even 14. My mother was married at 16. So, I don't think the trend is down, but up.

I hope my daughters don't marry until 25+, which previously would have been a guarantee of spinsterhood...
