Hi Harry:

On RMBS and the FTC. The case was decided when RMBS won its federal appeal of the ifx case. The FTC charges piggy backed the initial trial findings and once they were over turned the FTC did not have much of a case.

Next up is the retrial of ifx based on the appelate findings, which favor rmbs. Starts in May.

Tim

Taiwan Hot Stock: Novatek Up As LCD Demand Boosts Margins
Tuesday February 24, 11:18 pm ET

TAIPEI -(Dow Jones)- Shares of chip designer Novatek Microelectronics Corp. are trading higher Wednesday amid a general upswing in stocks related to the liquid crystal display screen industry.
At 0336 GMT, Novatek was up 3.4% to NT$138.5 (US$1=NT$33.233) on volume of 3.3 million shares.

The company is one of the less prominent stocks in the thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal-display sector.

The technology subindex was up 1.3%, while the main index was 0.9% higher to 6649.03.

The company is gaining as more people buy sleek, flat LCD monitors with their new personal computers instead of the bulkier old models. Novatek designs chips used in the screens, and as prices of the monitors rise, Novatek can charge more for its products, improving its gross margins.

KGI Securities in Taipei Monday upped its 2004 full year net profit estimate for Novatek by 19% to NT$3.4 billion, and reiterated its buy recommendation on the shares with a 12-month price target of NT$172, giving the shares 24% upside from current levels.

Shares of nearly all of Taiwan's TFT-LCD panel makers are on the rise Wednesday, with AU Optronics Corp. (NYSE:AUO - News) , the world's No.3 maker, up 4.8% at NT$ 54.40 on continued optimism panel prices will remain strong in the second quarter.
