It took a few days for my brain to accept it's new challenge. Now it's just an automatic response. I've only had it tweak out once since the operation and I wasn't feeling well to begin with.

I've talked to others that have tried it and failed.....I just don't think they gave it enough time. You also have to be myopic if you want to continue reading without glasses after the age of 40 or so. I don't need glasses at all anymore.

On the day of the procedure, after a nice long nap, I got up and went into the living room. My husband was reading in a chair by the window, and when I walked over and looked out the window I could actually see the fine detail of the needles on the fir trees in our yard without glasses, I started to cry.

It was a very emotional experience.

My husband told me we would have done it much sooner if he'd known how important it was. He rocked me in his arms and we both sat in silence while I observed the world anew.
