There is so much BG hatred built up that it just can't be separated. We have gotten ourselves into a PC quagmire. We have standards for bias being determined solely by the victims of the bias, who may be oversensitive or have suboptimizing agendas. Even those who usually rail against PCness fall into this trap. Witness the complaints here about liberal bias in the media. Some of it, as I occasionally point out, is clearly oversensitive. Unlike the practitioners of liberal PCness, the practitioners of this particular manifestation of PCness would be horrified at the notion that that is what they are doing. Social conservatives have effectively issued demands for their own flavor of PC. We have to find a way to set standards of bias based on something other than the sensitivities of the most sensitive.
