It is being reported that Schroeder just called for lower rates in europe to counter US dollar decline. Looks like US will get its way on rates, thus strengthening the recovery. And i guess with lower rates, the deficit can begin to be addressed without fear of double whammy--higer rates plus deficit reducton perhaps with some tax increase or tax cut scale back. At least interest rates will be off the table for awhile longer allowing the US to do some road repair. MIke
