And 150 years ago, some were saying that people were actually considering letting the slaves go free. Each decision must be in the context of society. If every decision were argued as "but that might lead to X", then the status quo would never change. I think it is imperative to protect kids. That's why I'd like to see the marriage age, even with parental consent, raised to 18. If I had my druthers, the driving age would be 18, also. So, I don't see allowing homosexual marriage as leading, to, say, acceptance of pedophilia. Just like I don't see allowing everyone of age to vote as leading to voting goats...
