The jobs issue is as silly as the special interests issue. These are things that politicians spout because they are expected to.

And there are some on this thread that fail to understand this: US companies have hired more workers than ever before in a post recessionary period The problem is that they are offshore. The internet makes the smokescreen that republicans are trying to create for Bush, the old "blame the business cycle"- worthless. We all know the supply siders were expecting a jobs boom when the GDP numbers first came out last year. They know the truth themselves but are trying to plead ignorance.
