Wal Mart shelf check and shopping opportunity today, first one was 1/30. The RW list is sixteen items. No price change on thirteen: price drops on two:
5 lb Milk Bone dog biscuits from 4.97 to 4.94
4 pack GE 100 wt soft white from 1.14 to 1.04

Increase on one, and this POs me. Women's Gillette Venus 8 cartridges. Borrowed one from my now ex-wife a few years ago, and never switched back. This is serious, so I'm calling this inflation, by golly. 13.94 to 14.48, LOOK AT THAT!!!! Far offsets the milk bones don't you think, and who needs light bulbs? Lucky I stocked up last time.

Another little retail tactic. Went to Costco, usually pick up 15 pack Guinness case. Well, no 15 can case, but two 15 packs wrapped together, same price per can as the old. Come on, is that inflation? That's the kind of thing that fools the CPI price takers. <g>
