Anger has its place. I've used it very effectively in those instances where it was useful. Anger against injustice, aggression, cruelty and other abuses is a GOOD THING.

Right now I'm angry that our government is largely corporate controlled for the benefit of corporations. I'm angry that we bet the farm on going to war with Iraq when the political and cultural climate there made it a sucker bet. I'm angry that we were given inflated, exaggerated and erroneous reasons for going to war by an Administration that knew better. I'm angry that good, young Americans are dying there and that we aren't giving the Iraqis the security and basics of life that they need.

I'm also angry that the average American can only repeat one side's 30 second sound bites, or the other's, when asked about important issues. I'm angry that most politicians think we're too stupid to recognize the truth and I'm really angry that they're right.

It's good to be angry about those things. You shouldn't be repeating the latest nonsensical Karl Rove soundbite; you should be angry too. Or hasn't Karl told you that yet?

If I have to chose between waging a war and raising twins, I would chose war. :-)
