>>You have to understand the lament of the AMD people. They feel very territorial about this thread even though they abandoned it long ago for the moderated thread.

Believe me, I sympathize with them. The people in my sights are the ones who attempt to hijack investment threads and turn them to political discussion. I can't undo the past, but it's going to be a different story going forward if I have anything to say about it.

Excuse me, this was not a hijacking. I've been here since the beginning. Its very unfair of you to come here and tell me how it went when I lived it. Please go back to the beginning and you will see the posts that led to the setup of the mod thread. When the mod thread was established, the AMD people couldn't leave this thread fast enough.

BTW the political discussions are what kept SI alive during the bad times with the markets. FWIW.

NOOOOOO! Duncan's original post is gone! That was a precious artifact!

Hi Dave, the changes you are making look fine and are very appreciated. Glad you joined SI.

Your timing is quite good. The economy is shifting gears, which means we need to focus more on investments.

Your monitoring and friendly reminders will help all of us increase the number of valuable posts on stocks, and is most appreciated. SI is a valuable tool.

A couple of questions:

How is Bob doing? I hope all goes well.

RE: "The people in my sights are the ones who attempt to hijack investment threads"

Will you also include people in your sight that are personally attacking posters that discuss stocks?

One of SI's formerly most popular stock threads, has essentially been abandoned by myself and my friends. We would be interested in returning this thread back to its formerly high level of popularity. But this would require attention to monitoring personal attacks, and possibly the occasional friendly reminder for all of us to stay on topic.

Which threads are your top priorities?

Now that you are here, what changes can we expect? Is it safe to assume we will return to the monitoring rules that used to be encouraged so we may return SI back to a valuable stock investment forum?

Regards,
Amy J
