Changing the definition of something that has been in existance for hundreds if not thousands of years, and something near and dear to the American people makes it necessary. He is doing what he believes is right. We will see where the Americans stand. "It's all about politics" You are a cynic that hates Bush, so what else could it be to you? It is an important issue that America should confront (before it is too late). If the amendment can't pass, then so be it. If 2/3 of the house and senate and 3/4 of the states are for it, then that's it. If not, marriage will become any two people that like each other. Until it becomes 3 people, or whatever the radicals decide. It is sad for traditional people that this even has to be done. But based on your hatred of Bush, I would say that you probably hate traditional people that share his views. We'll just have to see what happens.
