Mish, thanks for posting that Fleck rant on Greenspan.

I agree completely with what he's saying.

1. Our economy is dependent on the US consumer (to the tune of 60%) to sustain itself.

2. The consumer is close to tapped out, and when rates have to rise short term to deal with short term inflationary forces, the consumer will stop refinancing (if they haven't already), and thanks to inflation or a lower dollar, or whatever, will be forced to consume less.

3. And down we go.
