Also, every hospital in America that receives federal money (most do) is required to provide emergency care to everyone regardless of ability to pay.


This is one of the reasons our hospital bills are so high. (Trust me, I am collecting the bills now from the recent surgeries and stays, and the amounts are truly staggering!)

I believe that every single person in the US who is collecting ANY type of funds from the US Federal Government and/or the State Government should be REQUIRED to have a medical insurance premium withheld from his/her Government check before it is given to them.

This would certainly help the situation for all concerned.

Who knows...Maybe they wouldn't be able to get a new TV as soon, but they would have access to medical help, AND feel as if they were actually paying for it, rather than continually thinking they were freeloaders.
