John Kerry spoke the truth in his testimony. He never said that John Sherman did anything, he simply pointed out that certain acts were being committed by our soldiers. He was right on every count. I was there at that time.

The abuses were widespread and I believe that over time they had gotten more and more acceptance in many units. The truth needed to be told and he had the courage to tell it. He should be commended for that. It was America's war and Americans needed to understand the "on the ground" pressures and actions of our soldiers.

For a man like Ken Sherman to come forward, pretend that Kerry was talking about him personally and then innocently proclaim, "he slandered me-I never did those things," is so transparently silly that only a right wing, smear person would print it or distribute it.

When we go to war we should treasure the truth, not condemn those who tell it. This is true even when the truth is so disturbing that we don't WANT to hear it. The telling and hearing of the truth is part of what it takes to call yourself a man. Think about that Jake.
