i just checked NZ 10yr bond prices...
6.5's of 2013 offered at 105.10, for a YTM of 5.77186%. USD price of a little over 72.
similar price on the QTC's (AUD bonds issued by Queensland): 6's of 2013 offered at 101.15, for YTM of 5.702%.
by contrast, US10yr bobbing around 4 and change, about spot-on with Eurobunds.

the UST yield curve is MUCH steeper than the curves of all the popular anti-USD currencies (AUD, GBP, EUR, CAD). AUD and NZD, in particular, are virtually flat and inverted at the long end.
