Well it is, after all, a movie about a man being tortured to death. You can't expect to leave the theater in a light-hearted mood.

if they want a spiritual experience then get out of themselves and help others. It will make them feel much better than going to a movie.

I didn't feel disgust at all. There were parts that were very sad. My husband and I held hands during the worst parts. I cried, he cried.
