Bush is backing off permanent tax cuts on all levels. That means he's realizing the Dems have a great issue pointing to the deficuts, talking about fairness and forcing Bush to defend the fat cats. So now Bush would rather flip-flop. Expect Bush now to back off pushing for permanent tax cuts for the rich. So much for Bushies saying Kerry "waffles". Bush will do anything for votes.

Also notice the talk about Cheney being replaced. Cheney and Halliburton are real issues the Dems can use. Cheney may also be indictable on energy scandals and outing the CIA agent not to mention falsifying war intel. But who would replace him?

Bush today was reduced to outright lying on the campaign trail. He really has almost nothing to run on.
