If all our oil came from Canada, would we be there in Iraq or in the habit of NOT criticizing Israel for their policies or nuclear weapons? Probably, I think, that is if we recently started getting all our oil from Canada, that is. If we had always gotten all our oil from Canada, OTOH... If the Jewish homeland had been formed in Uganda rather than Palestine, this would not be an issue either, but that doesn't make it about Israel's any more than it's about oil. History happened.
