I don't know what you are getting at here. There are two thoughts going through my head right now, but I'll wait for your answer.

EDIT: I just caught your last post to me, and I now know what you think. The line by itself isn't enough to prove the crucifixion was preordained, but it makes a lot of sense in that context. Plus, I think the author was speaking about the notion that the Jews at the time asked for Jesus' blood to be on their hands. That line, if anything, ought to be sufficient to debunk that notion, but I guess true anti-Semites aren't going to listen.
