When Rice is mentioned as VP material, the pundits I watch break out into hysterics. They say she brings nothing to the election in terms of voter or states, she is the National security adviser and Iraq is a mess, and her popularity ratings are low. So whoever is floating Rice's name is probably related to Rice.

Cheney has been the real president for four years. Behind the scenes he has ruled GW like a puppet. If he resigns it would shock me as most people with that much power would rather die than give it up.
