your disregard for the scientific method when data supports your world view make you both certifiably Bushian

I thought we had been through this before. I have no disagreement with your basic premise that we can and should compensate, help retrain the losers and we will all still be much better off with free trade than with autarchy. That demonstrates Pareto optimality. If I have misstated your view, please so advise me. How have I demonstrated disregard for the scientific method?

Wow, I did not realize that "panglossian world view" makes someone "certifiably Bushian". For me seemed like Bush has a definitely negative view of the world.

Whatever the politics, I agree even without anecdotal evidence with Friedman that globalization and free trade is great. Just hope the protectionists don't get the upper hand.
