I remember how Arch predicted some kind of "disaster" for the day the Challenger blew up in 1986....

jrhana,

There are no lead-pipe-cinch indicators, but there are some physical changes that affect psychology, and those I do not ignore.

The correlation of moon cycles with major stock market swings, insomnia, and women's periods is strong enough evidence IMO that psychology is affected by gravitational changes, and that is what the Bradley is charting IMO.

I also have seen the correlations between significant changes in air pressure and significant moves in the DOW, and the match is pretty good.

If the market is tottering, I use these indicators to tell me which direction it MAY go.

By the way, if you follow Zeev ... he doesn't mention how he derives his dates for market turns, but it is pretty obvious IMO that he picks Bradley turns. Like the Bradley, he isn't always right, but when he's good, he's really good.
