No, that would spoil it.

As for the "sadism" - there are generally three or four things going on at the same time - it all takes part in front of large crowds - so there is the cruelty, the suffering of the victim, and the reaction of the onlookers.

Most of the cruelty seemed motivated by anger, not sadism, but the Roman guards in the flagellation scene were depicted as sadistic.

BTW - I know a lot of people claim that the Sanhedrin were all stereotypical big-nosed Jews - here is Mattia Sbragia, who played Caiphas, the primary accuser - he's Italian, looks Mediterranean, and his nose, while small, doesn't look like the stereotypes of Jewish noses I've seen.
