Even in N. Idaho, the extremists are not popular.. I recall traveling up to Hayden Lake, Coeur D'alene area back in the early '80s and they weren't very welcome... And relatives I have still in the area confirm this is still the case.. And folks should understand that N. Idaho is a small percentage of the total Idahoan population. The entire part of the state is effectively cut off from the southern part of the state by the RONR Wilderness Area.. It has always been considered rather "remote" from most of the major centers down south.. wilderness.net And it is this remoteness and seclusion that many people enjoy (though I hear the word has been getting out).. It's a beautiful area with some striking wilderness and outdoor activities.. Hawk
