Christians and Jews have been having an interesting dialogue on this movie. I read the gospels redfish printed and the movie seems pretty accurate vis a vis the gospels. But the real question is whether the gospels are indeed history or commentary on history by men. We will never know and as a jew i will have to consider what was done to jesus as a stain on the Jewish history of humanism and fairness, if the gospels are true. I can live with that. And if i were a christian i would have to consider the possibility that I smeared a whole race of people because of a faulty gospel if faulty. None of us will ever know at least while we are alive but this debated history should never be allowed to rebuild the wedge that existed between the great religions for 2000 years, at least not here in the US.
