red, From what I've read Edward's played it very cautious in the debate with Kerry last night. I think he's now thinking about a VP spot.

Kerry's Pattern Reveals Lack of Leadership Qualities

Kaye Grogan
February 27, 2004

If Democratic presidential frontrunner Senator John Kerry is looking for someone to lay an “in trouble” label on...he need look no further than the mirror. With around 70 percent of Americans favoring a constitutional amendment to ban gay marriages...Kerry is barking up the wrong tree, if he intends on using this against President Bush. At last count there are more conservatives than liberals...although the liberal news media would have us believing otherwise.

Sometimes, the hands on approach used by the news media can be more harmful than helpful. There has to be many parents jumping up to block television sets and remote control batteries must be getting low with all the clicking going on to turn off the disturbing scenes of same sex couples engaging in kisses after being married “temporarily” to their partners on the news reports. John Kerry says he is opposed to gay marriages but supports civil unions. I suspect it’s hard for Mr. Kerry to get his tongue positioned in the direction he wants it to go...while his views are changing about as often as the eye of a hurricane. On the ABC Good Morning Show, Kerry took every opportunity to criticize Bush for his stance on an amendment to the Constitution to re-stabilize and define the sanctity of marriage. Kerry’s high wire walking may be attractive to people in his liberal state, but his “in the real world” stance needs overhauling bad.

The Democrats would do well to replace Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe with someone who has at least an ounce of logic, because he has none. While attempting to divert people’s attention away from President Bush’s impressive four year record as president...he is failing miserably and looking more like a candidate for a strait-jacket. Maybe he’s been around James Carville way too long.

I disagree with GOP Representative David Drier of California. His analogy the marriage controversy should go through the courts without resorting to a constitutional amendment shows lack of wisdom. The courts are mandating and making their own personal assessment of same sex marriages in a dismal and dangerous way. Besides, most judges nowadays are legislating from the bench...ignoring the laws already on the books. These judges need to be loaded on a fast Amtrak and railroaded out of dodge. In fact, with the mess this nation is now in because of poor decisions...is enough to send sane people to the crazy house.

I don’t see any problem with amending most of the Constitution...since three-fourths of those who are suppose to interpret the sacred document correctly...don’t have a clue as to the real intent of the framers. It’s kinda like Bill Clinton trying to define what sex is. With some people...you have to spell out every word and then give the definition, and still many are left staring into space and scratching their heads.

Does the nation need another Democratic president in office...who allows lawbreakers to make their own rules? Perish the thought! President Bush has brought back dignity and honor...not only to the Office of the Presidency, but to the “Oval” office as well. The liberal Democrats would do well to pattern themselves after his moral character and leadership. Something most of them are "severely" lacking.
