James,

I don't dislike Bush, I think he is the right man at the right time for leading this country during this time of terrorism.

I'm fed up with the mentality in the country wrt "cradle to grave," everybody sucking on the huge government t*t.
The Republicans are just as guilty now, the pork is disgusting.

Isn't life full of compromises? I don't think anyone can say that they have the best candidate. The choice here is between Bush who came to Washington as an outsider and soon got suckered into the beltway and Kerry who professes to know how the Beltway works and promises to fix it.

If you look at the Presidents who have come and gone since say Nixon, we cannot say if being inside or outside of the Beltway is an asset or not. Having said that, we are left with determining for ourselves the viability of a candidate's programs and the record of the incumbent. And hence I am tempted to go back to Reagan's question: Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?
