Actually I do not claim to be a Christian, there are a lot of aspects of the old testament that I have trouble with, and as I believe you can't simply discard the troublesome parts, I think the most I can say is I am on the path to Christianity. I was born and baptized Catholic but later baptized Baptist. That doesn't matter much to me, I was close to a Seventh Day Adventist congregation for many years and didn't have any problem with some of their beliefs that could be considered strange (thought the "no caffiene" rule rankled on camping trips).
