Plus, the next thing you know, the Democrats come along and try to restrict overseas investment, or erect trade barriers, so that a country that mostly has cheap labor to sell cannot get any traction in the world economy.........

Many do go home Nadine, although the "war on terror" has done its best to slam the door to US educational opportunties shut-tight to most students from the middle east. There is no single more effective way to influence the middle east than to educate their young people -- none. Give me $200 billion for education of children from the middle east and I can change the course of the future. Give me $200 billion to invade and occupy Iraq and all I can give you is a lot of dead people and a lot of simmering hatred to fuel future terrorism.
