i dont know. over the long haul how can one argue that we havent had severe inflation? Sure lots of stuff is cheaper: stuff we dont need like vcrrs. edt
but just as an exercise ; did you come from a one income or two income family? Most folks i know had a higher overall quality of life with one breadwinner. Lower wages realtive to prices of essntial items is more akin to inflation or defaltion. Skyroketting money supply for decades is which?
