If it had happened at any time since the Iraq war started, you'd be using whatever other event associated with that as the cause. If it had happened before the war, you'd say it was Bush's pressure. If it had happened after the election but before Bush took office, you'd be giving Bush credit for it. If it had happened during Clinton's regime, you'd be saying that it was going to happen anyway. Re: "... and oh yes, he told the Italian PM that he was afraid the Americans were going to come after him too." As usual, you don't have any links proving this "fact". All you have are 2nd hand rumors from people who have obvious motivations for declaring the Iraq war a wonderful and necessary event. By the way, Berlusconi's decision to get involved in the pointless chase for WMDs in Iraq will eventually come back to haunt him, no matter what kind of lies his aids leak.
