He doesn't want to know. Another is that there are multiple futures, based on the choices that are made, as in "Run Lola Run."
"Multiple Universes" version of quantum theory.

But what of those Universes where the prophecies are made but do not come true? Does God not exist there?

He is not bound by time. Time is just another part of His creation. Jesus said "Before Abraham was I am". Not I was, I AM. He sits outside the space time continuum, or he IS the space time continuum. He can move his eye from the beginning to the end of creation as easily as we can walk to the refrigerator for a cold drink.
