Article tid-bits in quotes: "corporate profits are running well ahead of expectations" Companies and analysts are low-balling everything, so do expectations qtr to qtr really matter? In addition net margins are at 20 yr highs for the SPX. How much better can it get? Also, pro-forma games are in full swing. "more and more managements are immediately handing over some of that gain to owners through dividend payments" Not as much as they are handing over to themselves in option grants.
