"But we can repeat whole chapters of words spoken 2000 YEARS AGO with no question as to their authenticity and accuracy. This even though they were restated from memory, translated and retranslated, and edited over and over again for thousands of years by MEN who had their own hugely biased agendas."

Leviticus is one of the books Jewish Scribes have been charged with carefully maintaining in original Hebrew, written character by written character, for well over 2000 years. Although I am sure some differences exist in Hebrew (which I do not know), I suspect the care in reproduction far exceeds anything done prior to current information technology. I also suspect much greater importance was placed by far more people on these scriptures, than anyone placed on the words of Kerry or Bush 30 years ago (or now for that matter).

The original Hebrew is of course subject to translation error into English, but I seriously doubt these errors would be as great as Jacob implied (at least by unbiased translators).
