"Correct. I said it, not you. Ask any gay or lesbian (and I mean talk to them, don't talk at them), and they will tell you, that in childhood they assumed they were heterosexual. That's the norm, the default position, in our society. Most of them had their first sexual experience with members of the opposite sex. Many of them got married and had kids. Then, only then, did they reluctantly and painfully conclude that they were not heterosexual. It is not a choice; there is no free will involved. For a homosexual to deny that they are a homosexual, is like a left-handed person denying that they are left-handed, and forcing themselves to write only with their right hand."

Jacob, this brings up a question I've often wondered about. Being a medical doctor, maybe you have an opinion. From your comments above, I believe you are saying homosexuality is trait a person is born with. If indeed homosexuality is genetic, then how is it propagated in the human species? It seems counterintuitive to me that a genetic trait can be propagated by a subset of the species that cannot reproduce. Wouldn't that tendency be self-extinguishing over time? (I mean thousands of years.)

If some animals were homosexual, wouldn't that be counter to the survival of the species, or at least those with that trait? BTW, is there evidence of homosexuality in animal species? I'm just curious and would like a serious answer.
