I thought you wanted to know how serious the wounds were (shrapnel; not very); how long he has to stay out of combat (0 to 2 days, confirming minor nature of wounds); and what the missions were (described in detail, in two cases, in the bronze and silver star citations! That's what you said you wanted to know. Oh yes, you felt it was important that you know how these minor shrapnel wounds were treated. I suggested maybe it was witchcraft or moldy bread. Just kidding! Antiseptic, I'll bet! and a bandaid!
