the real problem we have in the US is that the tax laws are so skewed in favor of corps and passive income, and against workers, that no amount of GDP growth, corporate profit growth or stock market gains (barring a hyper-bubble) can mitigate what this job loss and wage deflation is doing to the federal budget. We can't clean up the mess unless we create millions of high paying jobs or in lieu of that, we have to triple corp taxes or passive income tax. We can't just "raise" corp taxes and expect any kind of effect, the dollars are too small.
