It's not that they're stupid, so much as they are unimaginative to an extreme degree. And the tendency to paint all issues in pure tones of black and white is also well illustrated, as is the tone of self righteousness and moral indignation. The second thing that a free Iraqi government is going to do is to demand reparations from the United States. The first thing that they'll do is to order us to pull our troops out of the country. Most of the couple hundred billion spent on Iraq was used to pay for the goods and services of Americans. A lot was spent on various foreign countries, but almost none of it went to Iraqis. That's part of the reason they're so pissed at us. The neocons lied when they misinterpreted what he said. (b) SH lied about WMDs in 1991, but told the truth in 2003, as is now apparent. (c) What do Sharon, OBL or the Saudis have to do with Iraq?
